Hi, what is the best way to delete "the chrome looks" of the front and rear chrome bumpers on LT except for swapping them with aftermarket bumpers? Painting vs. wrapping? I've heard painting over chrome is not a good idea and also 1-2 years after wrapping, it will stick to the surface making residues difficult to remove. If they are all good, anyone know any paint/wrap that best matches stain steel metallic? Thank you.

I'd wrap. It'll last longer than 2 years. Or find used painted bumpers from a wrecking yard and have them painted to your color.

Looks like you have a pre refresh Silverado. I've found bumper covers in black and white and I think there was a primered option as well that are a 3 piece that adheres to the bumper with automotive grade double side tape.

If you want to paint you will need to sandblast the chrome off. I took mine to a powdercoater and did that on my 2017.

Don't paint them. Even with great prep, they will chip and it'll look really cheap in a couple months. I know this from experience.

I'd go with a wrap. Or if you want to do it "right"...just buy the primed bare part and have it painted properly. Or you can buy the Trailboss part which is factory gloss black.
