6.6 Gas - choosing Flowmaster exhaust

I have seen no mention that all 3 flowmasters say no go on 2022 hd with gooseneck option. Was going with that till I seen that. I called their tech service and they had no recommendation with factory gooseneck option. So now considering just replacing huge trash can with a flow master muffler only or looking at the mbrp but last few posts make me wary of mbrp. Would prefer dual but I’m guessing with factory gooseneck option that presents issues? So far no one has posted a flow master muffler only swap. Anyone have any experience? Tech service made no recommendations. I have seen 1 video of one done with a series 44 but only shows stationary not moving or inside.

I've thought about this but don't want to be the first one to do it.  Have you ever thought about just replacing that trash can with a glasspack bullet?  I used to use them on my cars many years ago and they all sounded great, drone was none existent.  Just a thought is all.

I'm telling you guys, this 6.6 gas engine has dreadful drone without a well-thought out exhaust. Slapping a bullet style resonator sounds good on these trucks in place of the stock muffler, but drone is awful. Just ask my family 🤣🤣🤣

The funny part is, my wife and I are degenerate car people. We met at a car show almost 20 years ago. We tolerate more than most and don't get as offended from loud exhausts and fast cars as your average person.

Oh I love loud exhaust too.  But not on my truck...it's amazing when it's just stupid loud on race cars and burblying when idling... but when it comes to everyday towing or driving...it's not all that fancy...lol..

I have found a couple videos of even replacing trashcan muffler with strait pipe and inside truck video still sounds pretty quiet. Haven’t gotten courage to try but if I do that or a flow master muffler in place I’ll post my thoughts good or bad. But clearbra is first. And sales tax of course.

Agreed. I had a somewhat tame exhaust on my Tundra which was cool around town, but towing for hours at a time I wanted to bash my head against a wall.
