Never heard of a dealer not honoring gm discount. I've used it on all my new  gm vehicles at various dealers.

Only have a couple of local GMC dealers. Online search says that dealers do not have to honor the discount and my cousin verified. I could call around the other dealers in VT but prefer my local dealer as I go there for oil/filter changes, service and is easy to get there.

Finally got the ball moving on getting a 2024 Silverado LTZ 2500. Originally I sent the dealer an order for a black truck with midnight black edition. Couldn't get the max tow package or 5th wheel package. Dealer called me back that the order wasn't accepted due to the 18" mud terrain tires not being available. Went in the next day and sat down with the salesman and reconfigured a different truck. Switched to a sport edition in slate gray with 20" black wheels. Funny thing is they had an allocation pop up for max tow and 5th wheel. Submitted the order and it was accepted immediately with a projected build date of 10/30-11/15. Will see how long the process takes, but glad its at least accepted.

Wow that may be a modern day world record for a build date. My LT took about 11 week to get to the dealership. It’s a really nice truck.     Congratulations 🍺

Hi gents

I put an order in for a 2024 SLT 3500 CCSB with the 6.6 gas back at the end of July with a local dealer. At this point he is telling me that he has had the allocation but GM isn’t allowing him or any dealer in the us to place an order for gas trucks right now. Can anyone with a gas truck on order corroborate this?

Wanted to update this for everyone.

I ended up leaving my order with the local dealer AND placing an order with Laura. The local dealer still does not have allocation and I have cancelled the order.

I reached out to Laura on 9/22 and placed an order. It took about a week to get the documents and give a deposit. They placed the order yesterday 10/19. Overall experience has been good so far. Just crossing my fingers on the strike at this point!

Did your order get accepted?  Do you have a TPW?

I received confirmation that my order was accepted by GM on 10/19 but I do not have a tentative build date yet. I can update when I get that.

Ordered an AT4 HD on Oct 5. Dealer called today and said the order was picked up and should be done by mid to late December. I will be just finishing up hunting for the season and will have to hustle to empty my truck and get the ARE cap off.

Got an email from GMC today stating that my 2024 GMC Sierra HD has officially been placed and will be getting email status updates. Now we wait.

Ordered my LTZ on July 29, was built September 26, delivered to the dealer November 1.  It was built in the Canada plant.  I picked it up yesterday and couldn't be happier.

    • IMNTBHO;  the worst thing for the 6L80 is to be lugged down to low engine rpm while in high gear......AKA, to save fuel.   I rarely use D on my '16 with the 6L80 and use M mode to keep engine RPM above 1500 at the speed I'm driving, which is also benefiticial for the tranny because line pressure is kept up because the pump is actually turning a decent speed, and it's not always hunting to drop to the next gear to lower the engine RPM's.   Never above 30mph.............M3, maybe M4 if just driving thru a small NoDak town Never above 40mph............M4 Never above 50-55mph.............M5   This is way better for the tranny and the engine.........especially if AFM is still active.   262K miles on my OEM 6L80 as I type this.
    • If they had nuclear material for "11 nukes" we'd have seized it.    Our military has been rendered either too weak/dumb to seize it, or they don't have it. Your pick,K-nut. Because right now we're fighting over who gets to toll oil tankers in the strait.    I hope you're man enough to admit you've been taken for a ride when it's finished.

    • And you're obviously full of it too.  Apparently anything he does is perfect to you.  Don't you think this whole ordeal would have been better if he had maybe thought it all through first before bombing Iran at the request of his bffs in Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar?  They are the ones that had the biggest issue with Iran.  Thus they have been pouring the platitudes and giving gifts/bribes to him.  Had he thought about the consequences of what would happen to the Strait before starting anything, we wouldn't have this issue.  Now he is stuck with no way out of this mess.  But you have your head stuck way deep in his rabbit hole to see anything else.  So no, I don't have TDS.  I see what he is.  The derangement is yours from no oxygen in the rabbit hole.
    • Bringing of the fact that every President has said the same thing. They can’t have nukes. I guess you missed that before epic fury they said they had enough product for 11 nukes and weren’t giving it up. That not political or polarizing. The opposition of that is and giving aid to the enemy. The mandate is decades old through many administrations. The difference is TDS.
