Just for specify, my truck is in the 2007-2014 generation, not the classic model. I’m planning on getting some shackles to drop the rear 2” and level the truck. I’m also planning on getting new shocks too, but I’m unsure which ones to get. Mainly just looking for a smooth ride. Not looking to spend over $150 for the pair. Any suggestions?

I still run OEM rear shocks with a rear drop on my truck, rides just fine.

I usually run bilstein 4600 for stock height trucks. Recently put KYB monomax on 03 suburban they are 1” shorter than stock which may be ideal for you. I had to add a 1” spacer to the fronts to get full suspension travel.

Monomax ride is noticeably firmer than bilstein 4600 but not harsh. Helps firm the old burb up.
