Fog light help

Help me out here….I have 23 Silverado custom and I’m looking for the stock oem fog lights to add on. Obviously they make them, I’ve seen them on higher end trims. My local dealer says they can’t find them and I have tons of GM points I’d like to use lol So is it my dealer or what?

yes you can buy oem set with new dash switch that has the foglight switch.  You also have to have ecm flashed for them to work.  Or you can go to Amazon or other site and purchase a set of aftermarket units and hard wire in easily.

No can do.  The accessory kit is 1/2 ton only.  

 

You can get lights, but you will need to put them on your own control switch.  You won't be able to use the factory one.

The dealership won’t even offer the oem lights that come on higher end trims?! I’ll install them to one of the 5 aux switches I don’t care…but I rather have stock ones over aftermarket

Well, there is no "kit" offered for the HD.  Its possible that if the 1/2 ton kit has the same lamps as the HD trucks that the kit can be adapted to work on a HD, and then sure you could tie the power to one of the AUX circuits.

 

Or...you can get some aftermarket fogs that are right for your truck which might come with some sort of simple harness and do it that way too.

I'm in the same situation. I can find the fog lights but it says it will not fit 2024, 2500HD

I plan on checking wiring harness first. I am suspicious and wonder why they would make different harnesses for HD compared to LT, LTZ. 

The cutout are there. The shape appears to be the same. I will find out.

There have been electrical changes and the 1/2 ton and HD trucks are not on the same timeline. The HD was changed in 2024

From what I can figure out the HD fog lights are mounted in the steel portion of the bumper whereas the 1500s have the fog lights in the plastic filler piece in the middle of the bumper.

 

Two different styles altogether.
