2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali HUD Activation

Hi,

I have a 2021 Sierra with the Denali package and for some reason the HUD isnt an available option.

I think the newer models of Denali have different levels of options but I thought the 2021 Denali was theoretically supposed to have most everything aside from the optional accessories but HUD is not an option on mine.

From what I can tell, all the components are installed which makes me think it was simply disabled and sold as an additional option. Is there a workaround like reprogramming the ECU to turn this on by chance?

Post your vin to confirm but it's possible just the brightness is turned all the way down OR its moved out of your field of view.

Hi, how may numbers of the VIN do you need?

Also, I didnt even think about any controls for light/dark, etc for the HUD. I don't see a specific button in the truck looking related to the HUD so I may just be out of luck sadly.

On my High Country it's part of the Technology package. It's an option.

I would think the GMC is the same.

Common misconception that a Denali includes 'every option'

I had a '21 Denali and do recall it was an add-on.

The feature has become a new item on my 'preferred options' list.

It was still on option on the '22 LTD (available on SLT, AT4 and Denali)

On '22 refresh (and '23 and '24) it was dropped from SLT, still optional on AT4 and Denali, but is standard on AT4X and 'Denali Ultimate'.

If it has it but it's not working it will have the buttons on the dash (lower left, sorta hidden by steering wheel)

Just the last 8 and we can at least that way confirm for sure if it was built with it or not.

Checked my records and it was part the the 'Technology Package' on 2021 1500 Denali as well.
