@KARNUT Well then, isn't time for you to go buy that Ford Maverick truck you've been wanting??

Not yet. I haven’t driven one. I’m waiting to see if Toyota gets into the game. I wouldn’t mind if GM got in the game too. And finally the maverick craze hasn’t subsided yet.

FWIW - i just tried this at a dealer. I bought my truck yesterday and it was built on 6/23. So 3 months ago, the sales manager said, yeah, it was built 3 months ago, but it only got to us 2 weeks ago. I was like, ******... I can't prove otherwise, so i had to move onto other negotiating points.

Build date and MSRP sticker having that dealership on shipping info posted on label.......heard its about 2 to 3 weeks from build to ship

Always just contacted a ton of dealers and got numbers online from them.....its worked pretty well......cant remember the last time I went into a dealership cold and started the whole process......from home its alot easier

The very best deal I ever made on a truck was the last new one. I showed up at the dealer on 12/31/13 at 4pm. They needed one deal to hit their bonus, lucky me. Usually I buy when the new model comes out and buy a leftover.

Dealer inventory lists how many days vehicle has been in dealer inventory.  But that info is not privy to anyone but dealers.  I recall years ago when we were looking to dealer trade for a truck the salesman pulled up the vehicle and its list how many days it was in inventory. Longer its sitting more apt the dealer will be happy to dealer trade because it accruing interest on his floor plan.
