3.0 Duramax Diesel oil and oil filter?

I recently bought a 3.0 duramax diesel over the summer.

 

I'm new to the diesel game lol.....so I was wondering what some of you boys run on your diesel trucks in regards to oil and oil filter(something with good micron rating)?  

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Those that spent millions on testing and now put their money where their mouth by providing a 5 year / 100,000 mile warranty suggest  PF66 filter and 7 qt of one of these:

The local AutoZone stores in my area actually carry Mobil 1 ESP X2 which is a DexosD oil.

Dexos-D 0w-20 and filter of your choice. Most important thing is don’t go past 5K for your OCI.

That's what it's there for. 

Those providing the warranty think it's ok.

No need to second guess them.

 

No need to do early changes.

 

Depending on how its used that might be less than 5000 and might be more
