CamGTP Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 Kinda hard to tell from so far away. I can hear a noise but no real idea where it's coming from. 1
rav3 Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 (edited) How many miles on it? I can't hear any noise other than your loud exhaust. Can you tell if it comes from engine bay or transmission? Have checked the idler pulley on serpentine belt? Have you changed transmission fluid? Have you checked transmission fluid level? Just a couple of wild guesses on my part Edited March 12, 2024 by rav3 1
Niklasbraun Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 The serpentine belt or one of its components could be the culprit. Check for wear, and if possible, inspect the belt tensioner and idler pulleys. Morning noises could also be linked to the exhaust manifold. Look for any cracks or leaks, especially in the morning when metal components might be contracting. Make sure your oil levels are adequate and consider the viscosity of the oil you're using. Thicker oil might reduce noise, especially during colder mornings. 1
TheRiver Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 To me it sounds like a loose "heat shield" somewhere. 1
