I purchased a 2023 Silverado new in January (this year) and have had nothing but trouble since I purchased it.

There was a dent in the door which took four attempts to repair correctly. That is dealership trying to cheap their way out of it but finally doing the correct thing.

The throttle stumbles, which is weird, at low speed. There is a vibration at around 70 MPH. I returned to the dealer and they kept it two weeks and said they updated the software, this didnt do anything to correct it at all.

The infotainment center pauses the xm for no reason at all - just stops playing. There is a weird google message on the screen every time I start the vehicle, instead of returning to the last screen.

Its crazy because one of the main reasons I traded for this one was the screen and interior. Some crazy gremlins in this truck.

I have had several Silverados - in fact I traded a 2019 in for this one.

Has anyone else had this kind of experience?

This has been my experience with 2 gm dealers so far. I have nothing but contempt for their dealer network.

Its my opinion that the dealer service network is not keeping up with the advancing technology. People with the talent to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems dont work cheap. The training and pay model for techs is a broken system. In a lot of cases you get "parts changers" with zero diagnostic skills because thats all that GM and the dealers will pay for. Instead you get an office full of managers doing nothing and telling each other how great they are while the world collapses around them.

Just my opinion, worth every penny you paid for it.

PS. after the first repair attempt I would deal exclusively with the service manager. A polite but firm squeaky wheel will gets grease first.

I have a complete timeline of the events that occurred and I sent that to the GM of the dealership. He has yet to respond. It makes sense on the incompetency of the techs but as much as they charge for service, you would think that the service and diagnostics would be better. Good advice @64BAwagon - thanks!

You should probably go through the motions of calling the 800 number (if you havent already)  for customer service and let them create a case. They don't have the power to actually do anything (although they will lead you to believe they do) but it helps in documentation. If I have issues I always try to communicate via e-mail because its harder for them to deny they said something if you have it documented in writing.

Good luck

It use to be that GM customer service monitored this site. Evidently they don't anymore. I agree with 64BAwagon. Get customer service in the loop. As far as problems, I've had my 2023 SLT X31 diesel for just over 8 months and really haven't had any major problems. There is one that I can't figure out. I hear a noise that sounds like a small rock hitting the windshield or like a plastic water bottle popping. It's always on the passenger front door area. There are no indications of any road damage anywhere. It's not frequent enough to be annoying, but it's there. Other than that, I'm pleased with the truck. I have contact with the dealer for oil change. Once those freebies are used up. I'll use a local tire shop for service. Good luck.

I opened a case with Chevrolet Customer Care. I refused to take back to same dealership so I will work with a different one and see what happens. I appreciate all of the advice and it is cool to connect with other Chevy drivers!

Choose your next service provider wisely. Jumping around between dealers can raise other concerns for the tech and how or if they get paid. If there was work done that needs to be redone someone likely wont get paid. I would try to pin Customer service down and ask where they think you should take it next. Although I have had issues with dealers also I tried to keep a relationship going with the same one (good or bad)

My salesman got involved one time years ago and asked the service manager "why dont you just fix the damn thing like he asked you to, he usually knows exactly whats wrong with it"
