The springs connected to the hinges at the rear of the center console, where you can’t really get to them, have started squeaking while driving and with the console closed. Anyone know how to quiet them back down? Or get to them?

I had a squeek coming from that area on my 19 High Country, it wasn't the springs, it was a plastic rub, I took the cup holders out, I think there were screws I took out of that area as well and I then used black felt where the plastics came in to contact, put it back together and the noise was gone. I used all kinds of lube on the hinges and springs and the squeak never went away until I used the felt.

Thank you, I'll try that. Did you remove the plastic section under the rubber cup holder liner?

Yes.

Yes.

I finally got around to put felt tape in places to prevent the squeaks. I removed the rubber cup holder liberty, then the top rear trim section from the console, and then the large rear section with the air vents and heated seat controls. I drove around with all those sections removed and still had a squeak in the console somewhere. I’ve put it back together now with most of the squeaks gone but there’s still something squeaking even with those parts reduced.  Any ideas?

This apparently fixed the squeaking once I reassembled the console and it settled back in.
