2017 silverado ltz crew cab, going to be installing bilstein 5100 up front on Max setting. Wondering if anyone has the similar Set up and what your fender height are and tire size. Considering putting a zone 1.5 body lift in because I still want to fit into my garage. I thought about the rc 3.5 lift but have seen alot of negative reviews so figured a 2" lift up front, possibly 2" rear and a 1.5 body lift I can stuff a slightly smaller 35 on with factory 18" wheels.

I installed the Bilstein 5100 leveling struts in the front and it sits at 39.75" front, and 40" rear from the ground to the bottom of the fender.  I kept the stock GMC wheels and installed BFG All Terrain T/A KO2 in LT275/60/20 (33"0 all the way around.  No rubbing and not using any spacers.  Ride is much more controlled that the Ranchos that came from the factory.  I only have 15K on the truck today, bought it in Feb 2019 off the dealer lot as one of the few remaining of the 2018 models as I didn't want the push button start and other features of the 2019.

I have the 1.5" Zone body lift and a 3" front and 2" rear lift as well as the front shocks set to about 1" (5100 Bilsteins)
Also, a 1.5" spring lift in the rear for better towing capacity.
I've got 35" BFG K02s (18" wheels) and the total height of the truck is about 6'-7" with the satellite antenna.
Still lets me get into the car wash (I don't have a garage).
Front fender lip is about 43.75" and the rear is about 44".

Yeah I just installed the bilstein 5100set to the Max height and put the 2" block in the rear. Right now I'm at 39.25" front and 40" in the rear. Body lift should be here soon so that'll go on next. I have 275/70r18 on it already with 1.5 wheel spacers, zero rubbing.

I went with 0.5" wheel spacers on the front and with the new UCAs, I have no rub on 35x12.5x18 BFG K02s with the above mods I stated.

I'm wondering with what I got and a body lift if I can squeeze 305/70r18 on them. Locally I can get a set of amp terrain tires for fairly cheap

Those are 35" approximately (34.8" x 12").
Not without an additional front and rear lift.
Just a 1.5" body lift won't give you the clearance you need.
Might work in the rear but not the front.
Perhaps a simple 2" leveling kit for the front will get you there.

Yeah I have the 2" level up front, 2" block in the rear, going to be putting in the 1.5 body lift tomorrow so total of 3.5 lift

Update with photos once you're done with the body lift. We're looking for a similar setup on the incoming Z71 project. It recently got 18" wheels from 4Wheelonline and new rotors and will fit 305/70 tires.

Haven't got time to upload pictures yet but body lift wasn't terrible too install in a single car garage by myself lol took about 6/7 hours and 3 beers. Definitely love the look, 275/70r18 don't even look that small but still trying to decided on a decent tire.

6/7 hours and 3 beers... good on you man.  If it was me there would have been more beer, which in return would have resulted in more time. Post up some pics when you can. I'm interested on seeing the results.

Decided to go with the 295 70r18 Cooper discoverer at3 xlt. Near new tires, price was right. I've had my eyes set on wildpeak at4 35x11.5r18 but they are still unavailable in Canada. These will do for now!

    • Yeah I don’t leave ANYTHING just sitting supposedly maintaining my battery on a vehicle or RV for multiday periods. I connect a charger as needed to provide a full charge, then disconnect it and either monitor the battery or follow a set schedule for periodic charging.
    • Get the 5.3. I`m not a Ford guy.😉   I think these L84`s are less problematic than the L83`s. Certainly less than the L87.
    • I have finally paid off my mortgage and can now purchase a new truck. I would greatly appreciate any opinions on the purchase of a new 2026 GMC Denali 5.3L or 6.2L with the Denali reserve package. I am not interested in the 3.0L.  Or should I go buy a Ford?   Thank, John
    • One of the few things I enjoyed about my time in the midwest was taking off on weekend drives. Unlike home, where we are boxed in by mountains and water, those rules don't apply to the inland plains. Roads connect and sprawl everywhere. While Minnesota is flat, it's not completely featureless and there are fast moving rural roads with curves and slight elevation changes. I used to relish heading out in a particular direction with no set destination, no curfew, and weaving through little townships, wherever the roads would take me. Along farms, lakes, or through the deciduous trees... It was beautiful in its own way, and the seasons were so distinct there. Fall drives yielded amazing shows of color and contrast. Summer drives rewarded with the and amber evening glow of the prairie (and lots of juicy bugs).    I do a lot of that here in my home state too. But it's much less mysterious/intriguing. I've traveled most roads in the region, and every road that's fun to drive within a good radius of my house. But every drive, even on the same old roads, is still enjoyable. I know where I can lean hard into the throttle or really throw the car into a curve. There are exercise loops for when I just need to keep certain cars limber, and much longer routes to settle in and enjoy a drive and put some miles on. All the mountains and water make for some really awesome roads for spirited driving. But not all my driving is spirited, for example, that's not really enjoyable in my pickup or this Blazer (that's still here...).   Sometimes a good drive is followed by a ritualistic wash before tucking the car away...
    • 'GMAuthority' is reporting the 2027 HD's will have the L8S 6.6L gasoline V-8.  There was some talk here about the L8S awhile back.  Not sure what changes it will have now as it seems the 2027 emissions regulations have changed from what was originally proposed.  The big question will be is L8S just a stopgap for the last 2 years of the current T1 HD platform or will it carry forward to the next generation 2029 T1-2 HD's?    I assume the L8S will still be a Gen. V engine.
