Rear window question

2016 HC with sliding center section.  Are these windows safety glass?  If hit by a stray rock, would the glass spider-web or would there be shards all over the rear seats?

Typically not.  Usually just windshields are tempered safety glass.

Its tempered glass unless someone replaced it themselves when it broke. I asked the glass place to repair mine with safety glass and they refused , said too much liability if ever in a crash

Pretty sure they will explode, especially since they were blowing up because of the faulty rear window defroster circuits.
