Installing new calipers. Bleeder valve goes on top?

Installing some new calipers.

Just wanted to make sure that caliper should be installed on side where bleeder valve is on top/upper area of caliper, is this correct?

I installed some calipers upside down on a 71 Monte Carlo, I just couldn't get them to bleed! Air always goes to the top, never the bottom. The front brakes on a motorcycle are really gard to bleed because the air in the master cylinder won't go down to the caliper,  I use a vacuum tool to bleed those brakes...

Yeah I bench bleed my master cylinder.

Saw a few air bubbles doing that.

 

I'll have to check out that vacuum tool.

Do you hook it up to each caliper, then pull the fluid through from master cylinder reservoir?

Yep. I bought a motorcycle model.

You connect hoses to the bleeders then using compressed air/carburetion created vacuum and it draws fluid/air out.
