I have a 2022 Sierra 1500 Limited. The Weather Channel app was installed and working great.  Yesterday I noticed that it was not there anymore. Checked the apps listing and it is not listed there either. Anyone know what happened?  Do I have a problem or was the app pulled?

That's a good question.  I have a 2024 silverado I tried to look for it and downloaded it. I didn't see the actual weather channel one. My wife has it downloaded in here 2020 traverse.  Maybe it's no longer available.

I too am wondering what happened to it. I have a 22 2500 HD and it up and disappeared about 3 weeks ago.

Been chatting with OnStar, here is what I was told about the Weather Channel app:

The Weather Channel will be removed from the app store and sunsetting from all capable vehicles starting Feb 25 and removed from all vehicles starting March 10, 2025.”

That answers my question.

Here is what they said was available:

Here are the list of the in vehicle apps,
- Dash
- New York Times
- NPR News Radio
- People App
- USA Today
- Washington Post
- Wall Street Jounral
- iHeart Radio
- Spotify
- Audio Books/Reese's Book Club

In vehicle app support radio with RPO code of IOS, IOT and IOU, IO5 and IO6 for 2017 vehicle and up.

That F'n blows!  GM falls again.  I have been using that app for years.  The weather notifications for things like warnings and watches were a big plus.  Mary Barra said a few years back that GM was now a technology company.  They keep showing us the opposite.  Can't upgrade to add navigation through GM like you use to.  Eliminating apps people actually use.  Even customer care fails to actually care to help customers.  There are no other weather apps accessible through the radio like WeatherBug or MyRadar.  Weather Channel recently updated their app on my phone.  GM just didn't want to work on compatibility.  The radar feature was a huge benefit, too.  GM is chasing away customers.  I'm a year away from adding a vehicle to my driveway.  It's looking more and more like it'll be a Toyota.
