ABS problem? 99 Silverado

Hello, my ABS light stays on, with a load hum. The hum remains even with the key out and the door open! Maybe the sensors are dirty? Can I clean them? Where are ABS sensors relative to the calipers? All help appreciated! It's a 1999 Silverado, looks like 4-wheel discs. Thanks!

Your pump motor is stuck on. You need to pull the underhood ABS fuse to shut it off.

 

The cause is a transistor short circuited inside the ABS computer.

You will need to replace the ABS computer, and they're not cheap!

If you don't pull the fuse, your battery will be drained if the truck is shut off for awhile. The brakes will still work fine, but the ABS will be diasbled.

 

Unfortunatly this was all to common of a problem on the '99s and early '00 GM pickups...
