I was wondering what you guys thought of this tire and if they are worth the money. I have a 96 Z71 with a 4in. suspension lift and am wondering if I would be able to fit 35's with little or no rubbing. thanks in advance.

I don't know about the 35s fitting your truck, but I have a set of those in 265s and I'm pleased with them after 11,000 miles.  They're wearing well and the improvement in traction offroad and in snow is noticeable over the stock Firestones that my truck came with.  Also they seem to make the truck feel more stable in turns, maybe due to the stiffer sidewalls.

One word....AWESOME!!!

I have LT285/75/16's.  I just got done driving back from the G/F's in Glenview to my place in West Chicago down 294 and I-88 in a monsoon and was actually blowing away both a mustang and a new CTS (up until 100mph anyway).  :P

The only problem I had was if I stomped on it instead of rolling the power on, it'd get squirrely.  But that has more to do with no weight in back.

and in snow is noticeable

I've had bfg's, the winter that MI got hit with a huge snow storm.  I must say they don't grab for $hit.  The tread gets packed instantly and then you tend to lose traction, specially in non packed snow where you have to drive slow to boot.

Besides, everyones got them.  Be like dodge, you know different, cept do it in a good way. :P

Now see, I was stunned with the traction I got with mine during our last blizzard.  I was going through sh*t I wouldn't have attempted with my Firestone's.

I had them on my Blazer too, and they were great in the snow (and those were the old style A/T's, not the new KO's).

I agree the snow traction with the BFG is awesome.  I probably could have gone all winter in 2wd if needed.

Scaryguy did you have the older version?  Maybe the newer updated KOs are better?  They seem to clean out the treads very well.

I think I must be the only one here with Mud Terrains, Oh well I love em'. Anyway I think 35's under that 4 inch lift would be the perfect choice. Not to small and not to big. I hate it when people lift their trucks and then cram some big balloon in the wheel well. I'm not 100% but I would be very surprised if you had any rubbing.

I have the BFG Mud Terrains, and they are awesome in the mud and sand (so far).  Haven't driven in snow with em yet, as I live in Texas.

Regardless, I don't think you will hear too many bad words towards BFG.  A guy at National Tire & Battery told me they cup very easily...and that was with regular rotation.  So, just keep a watchful eye on the tire pressure and rotate them regular and you should be ok.

35"s will look damn good (don't know about the rubbing.  I have 33"s now, and with 4.10 gears am very satisfied.  So, I guess you should consider your gearing too.  4.56s maybe?

I have LT31x10.50x15 BFG All Terrain KO's on my 1997 truck.  I have had them on the truck since 1998 (second set now) and would have to say that they are a good tire.  My last set (non-KO's) were great.  I have had problems with the KO's cupping though.

Recently I bought a set of LT285/75R16 Nitto Terra Grappler A/T's for my 2000 truck.  In my opinion these tires are far superior to the BFG's so far.  They grip better in the rain, ride better on the highway, are quieter, and look better.  I don't know if they offer anything for a 15" wheel but it might be worth a try.  I've got about 400 miles on my Nitto's and won't be going back to BFG even though I still think BFG's are a good tire.

Just my 2 cents.
