What do you use to wash your truck.

I was just wondering what you all use to wash you truck. The best thing that I have used so far is a synthatic mitt a bought a wallys. I heard that brush are the way to go just to scared to try it on a black truck.

I use the cheerleaders on the corner doing it for donations.

And I'm not watching their..... .....Mitts.

As for the brush....Check my sig pic of the 92, it's a darker color, still looks pretty good with the original 13 year old paint. I've been using the brush at car washes, and a mitt at home for years...no scratches (from that anyway). I feel you though...I'm not sure I would use one on a black truck.

We have some high-pressure touchless washers in town. Nothing touches my truck. Additionally these include high-pressure underbody nossles and wheel blasters.

Nice quality cotton towel with Eagle 1 car wash soap. Dry using the Absorber synthetic chamois. Been using this for a few years and no scratches from washing or drying. Just make sure that you rinse out whatever you are washing or drying off the vehicle with if you drop it on the ground. This will help prevent a lot of the scratching. Wash from the top of the vehicle down. Use a separate wash bucket/towel for the really dirty part (lower half of vehicle--rocker panels, wheels, bumpers) to prevent scratches.

I dont touch my paint with anything but 100% cotton and an Absorber. Fiber scratches suck! Touchless washes all the way.

Very hot water in a 5 gallon bucket, Turtlewax liquid carwash & some brush I bought at Schucks. I dry it with a squeegee on a 6 foot paint pole.

What can I say, it's just a pickup.

Now, on the girlsfriends 95 ZR-1, a cotton mittt.. .

I used to use sponges from Wal-Mart that are intended for car washing, but they were causing fine scratches in the paint. Now I use a soft mitt and it does a much better job. I would pressure wash it, but I don't have a pressure washer and the local car wash is expensive. The truck only gets pressure washed once in a while when I am being lazy and have an extra $10 laying around.

I've used the el-cheapo sponges from walmart for years on my black car, and on the new truck we bought. Havent had a problem ever. I buy them usually by the case. I use a new sponge each time I wash. IT's only $0.95 anyways...

Personaly I use mexicans at the local car wash but this cheerleader idea is a better one....

free wash with every fill up at my local gas station ( they don't like it when its muddy though) I'll be hand washing with a mitt after I paint it and I've always used mothers to polish though they make a good product that has never dissapointed me

They always seem to have their wash setup when I'm running radar/laser in an adjacent parking lot on a Saturday or Sunday morning...needless to say I'm not in a hurry to leave even if the fish aren't biting.
