I have a 94' single cab. Has anyone attempted to do this on their own? I wasn'st sure weather or not it was worth it to try this or just let NTB do it for $12 a shock. Any thoughts??

Here is what one looks like...Well, actually two. The funny shape on the right socket fits over the tip of the front shock shaft, holding it in place while you loosen the nut (or you can turn the shaft inside the nut, whichever you prefer).

I just did mine. I didn't have that special tool and ended up having to cut the darn studs with my dremel. What a PITA.

my monroe sensatraks came compressed on the front ones with a plastic strap. i put the TOP bolt thru first THEN i cut the plastic strap and directed it into the bottom shock mount.that made it real easy. like said. the fronts are the bad ones to work on as no room. i would do the backs myself and take fronts to that 12 dollar :) shock person.
