Clunk?

Probably the drive shaft slip yoke. If you truck is still under warranty, you can have an updated nickle plated yoke installed for free... otherwise you will just have to keep yours greased.

I had my truck into the dealer for a number of things, espesicaly the clunk when shiffting for fwd to rev. they told me that bulliten was only for the 1500, and did not apply for my 2500. They told me the reason for the noise or clunk was a result of "Stackable tolerence's" all parts were withing range, but it was all of them put together was the reason for the clunk

I fought for hours and days on end with my dealer. I forced them to call GM driectly and they found out my 02 2500HD CC LB was under that TSB... I still have the clunk but not as bad as before. They had stated that it was simply normal slack in the truck. I don't think the truck is suppose to sound like the rear end is falling out when you put it into R...

Go back to the dealer and make them call GM. The computer they use to look up the TSB is messed up on this TSB. It does not have all the VIN # in there that are covered by the TSB.

Thanks I will. They also replaced the rear rotors and pads for me. They rotting form the inside out. They said the front's were not as bad, I will cpmplain about those when I go back.
