Engine stopped running

I have a 92 4.3 Silverado which started idling rough a short time ago. Over a period of a couple of months the problem became progressively worse until the engine stalled when accelerated or given power (such as moving from a stop). The truck eventually got to the point where it would not start. Even though the vehicle idled a bit rough it ran acceptably until this past week end where it went from idling rough to the lack of power. The engine has 80,000 miles but uses no oil. The plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor and oxygen sensor have been changed. Would appreciate any advice on what else might cause the problem.

Thanks for the input. Turns out there were mutiple problems. The fuel pump was working intermittently, the bottom of the tank was covered in some type of dark goop, the screen was clogged and the fuel filter was clogged. Added a new fuel pump, cleaned the screen, changed filters and did an ejector cleaning and the truck runs as new again.
