New Hood

I dented the hood on my '03 silverado. It's going to cost $400 - $500 to pull dents and repaint. I was thinking of buying a aftermarket hood instead. I don't know anything about the cowl / ram hoods. What kind of mods do I need to do to the air intake for one of these hoods, and what kind of performance will I notice?

Will It improve gas milage?

I have a Goodmark Cowl Induction Hood on my 03 SS. You do not have to do and mods for the hood to fit or work. It is non-functional for the Air Intake. You can do the hood now and add a Cold Air Intake later. You can do either without the other too.
