Body Control Module location ?

Hey guys.

 

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 and was wondering if anyone knew where the body control module is located?

For 2001's it is located next to the steering column behind the knee bolster. I imagine 2004's are the same.

Thanks for the info. I checked and it looks like that's where it is. One more question: I want the BCM location because I'm going to wire the fog light relay to come on when the headlight comes on. Before I do this, could this functionality be re-programmed into the BCM by the dealer?

If your going to wire it in that way, just connect the fog lamp relay under the hood to turn on with the power on from the headlamp relay. One wire under the hood. It sucks that the fog lamp switch pulses the BCM for the on/off action. I tried a TTL chip with a single pulse output, it works but turns them on when I am in the garage and leaves them on then if it is light out. I am still working on a hardwired solution too.

So you plan on being one of those people that always drive with their fog lights on and blind other people? You only need them when there is rain, fog or snow.
