Parking structure clearance

Man, I scratched my burb's roof-rack when I went into this parking structure   It clearly said 6'6'', mine is only 6'3''. There was a hvac pipe running along the ceiling, that must have been the culprit. It's like playing Russian Roulete every time I go into one of those, and mine is completely stock. Your lifted vehicles must have the same problem. How do you handle it?

Well my truck's not lifted, but I still stay away from parking structures.  The heights on them are never accurate and even if they are most will have low clearance areas in them.  What really sucks is when you go in, it says 6'6" and then you're driving along and it drops down to 6'.  I had to back the truck out of the parking structure through the enterance.  There was no way around it.  Luckly the attendant there let me out so I wasn't stuck paying 5 bucks for my 2 minute trip.  I'm just glad there were no cars behind me or there would've been problems.

I hit the top of my cap (topper) when I pulled into a garage to see a ballgame in Pittsburgh.  I hit the clearance bar that was hanging at the entrance!!!  I had a bunch of people following me in an blocking traffic so there was nothing to do except keep going.  I drove very slow and stayed in the middle (backing up in every corner to compensate for the swing in the corners).  I never hit anything inside the garage luckily.  It was marked 6'3".  I didn't realize the low clearance until I was already commited.  Most of the garages in Pittsburgh are 6'6"- 6'9", so I just must have picked an odd-ball to park in...

I used to take my Expedition in the parking structure at UofM business school and winced as the antenna hit each concrete beam.  I felt a little better when I took the roof rack off.
