Amber DRL's

I'm thinking of changing my daytime running lights from the factory clear bulbs to amber ones. Does anybody know the part# for a compatable amber bulb that won't burn out quickly and won't create any other problems (electrical or heat related)? I think it will look cool when I have my parking lts on...it will match as opposed to a white light next to an amber one. Thanks!

I swapped my clear 4157s for 3157NAs and already regret it. The driver's just died after only six weeks. I have a set of chrome bulbs from eBay waiting back at home, will update.

Amazing y'all are having burned-out light problems so quickly. Make sure your amber lights are long-lifes. Also, put bulb grease in your socket. My ambers are over a year old.

I've had them for about 6 months with no problems, and in my 02 for two years still working traded it in.

I have been told by several techs, don't touch the bulb on any auto lamp it will cause it to blow. the oils on your hands will cause hot spots on the bulb making them blow.

Cool guys, thanks. 4157NAL...thanks Rattlewagon...what brands are you guys using? You said something about long-lifes lrymal, that's what I'm looking for.

I've heard that about touching the bulbs too Stocklook...especially with halogens.

The ''NALL'' next to the bulb number designates long-life, if I recall correctly. I purchased mine at AutoZone which sells Sylvania. These are not special bulbs, ricer bulbs, or anything. Just old-fashioned long-life bulbs. But, that "NALL" means everything in the world, in my opinion.

Again, don't forget to get the bulb socket grease. Little pack is about a buck or less.
