Does the protection package for Avalanche (part no. 12497861) come with all four splash guards and all four ventvisors? Thanks, Mike Fisher

well if that isn't a good answer I don't know what is.  Who was it that emailed the guy about some new gears and the guy didn't answer his questions.  When he emailed them back complaining the guy got really pissed.

Try a different parts place, or call a dealer in your area, they should be able to help you.

I replied with this:

I don't know if I can be more specific, but I'll try. Are the front and rear

ventvisors included in the protection package? That would be all 4. Are the

front and rear splash guards included in the protection package? That would

be all 4. Thank you, Mike Fisher

Do you think that will get the job done?

Just a quick note

I faxed to my local GM Dealership with a list of parts numbers for stuff for my Avalanche.  One of the items was the Protection Package, and then I quoted all of the parts separately.  Much to my (and Rick, the parts gent.'s) suprise, it was about $20.00 more to purchase the pkg, instead of all of the parts separately.  You might want to check and see if the same holds true with GM USA.

Protection package thru gmpartsdirect is $115+20.70s&h =$135.70. Seems reasonable to me, if I get all 4 splash guards and all 4 ventvisors. I figured GM would charge that for the hood deflector alone. They seem reluctant to tell me how many splash guards and ventvisors come with the package however...

The Ventvisors would be the same as the ones on my HD Crewcab because the cabs on your Av and my truck are the same.  I paid about $45 for mine at Advance Auto Parts.  I paid $56 for my Husky molded mud guards online.  So I had a little over $100 in it...

I paid $165 + tax, for the Avalanche protection package directly from my Chevy dealer. It included the hood deflector (and extra double back tape for the windshield trim which I did not put on), four molded color matched mud flaps, and four window visors.

The hood protector and mud flaps are custom for the Avalanche and fit great. The window visors are basically standard GM accessories but fit the windows good also.

and it's once again proven that gm-trucks.com is the place for the answers that your dealers don't have.

That is the thing about gmpartsdirect.com.....  good prices, crappy service.  I bought some fog lights for my Z28 from them and had no problem.  But I knew the part # ahead of time and knew what I was getting.  I think their "customer service" e-mail may be automated, so I think it's the computer that's replying to you.  I'd say use whatever means necessary to get the right part #, then just order from them.  I haven't found a dealer yet that will match their prices.  The F-body and B-body guys like to use Dal at VanDevere Olds.  I can find contact info if you want.  Seems like he know his stuff and does well on prices.  He's pretty well known around the Chevy sites on the net.
