She has been so good to me, and I am going to miss the 'up high' truck feel for I am going to a car.  But just need something better on gas for the miles I drive!!

Will keep you all posted!!

I can understand, that why I keep my old burb long paid for and can afford to let it sit for weeks at a time when not being used. It can cost over 80 bucks to fill it up today so I do most of my commuting in 4 bangers!!

I understand your situation, but just be prepared for the low resale value at this tme. They got all kinds of deals with no interest, rebates, etc and they still cant sell 'em. Tough time to sell a used truck unless you are willing to go real low.

Yes, when I bought my 2000 K3500 new I found it was cheaper in the long run to pay $2000 more for it than a 2 year old low mileage unit with only 14k on it that I tried to buy but they would not come down. (it sat on that lot for another 8 months too) A few year old SUV in todays market with rebates and high fuel prices is a very tuff sell but it will get even tuffer when they start closing out the 05's in a few months so be prepared to take a loss now as it could be a lot worse lose yet if it does not sell soon.

That's really too bad. You're going to take a hit on the trade, as you know. The first thing out of the dealers mouth is going to be that the market is flooded with new Tahoes, and that it's going to be hard to resell the SUV due to the "new" lack of demand for these gas thirsty rigs. Some of this is true and some of it is an opportinity for the dealer to low-ball you. Best of luck, and keep us posted on the car you decide to buy.

YEah your all right.

BUT here is my thought. If I can get out of it for what I owe at least I'd be happy

My father is a dealer (wholesale) and at least will buy it from me. I am taking a hit on it already due to the miles.. 110k (mostly hwy, but still miles!!)

If I could get $13,000 for it I would take it and run!! I know I can sell it so not worried there. At worst my dad will take it in on trade.

I am looking a a lincoln LS V8 (not HUGE increase in MPG) but still better none the less, and has 20k miles and a year left on warr too!
