1995 Sierra drivers window repair

Recommended Posts

My drivers window on my 95 Sierra broke this morning. 100 degrees tomorrow so I pulled the door panel off and can't see anything wrong. From the other posts I've searched it looks like it might be the regulator/motor. How do you replace this on a 95? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I did this on a lincoln last weekend and it if it is the same design it requires drilling in the door(don't worry covered by apolstry). First I would see if disconnecting and reconnecting the plugs work. This is what ours did but we took the whole thing apart even the window motor out to figure that out. This would be tuffer with the window down like you said(ours was stuck up). Try this because the taking the motor out is hard to explain.

Did the windoe motor replace a couple years ago on the 92 K1500. It requires drilling out the three or four rivets, dropping everything down and the reversing the procedure with a new window motor. Not too awful bad of a project and I think it only took a couple of hours (i'm a rookie at best). The motor came from JC Witney as it was half a dealer cost item and is still working just fine.
