Armor-Dillo TS-1

It might be a little hard to find though.

GM has a bulletin for us to use it on the Avalance's cladding and bed covers,So you might want to check with one of your local GM dealers to see if they got any.

(There's a post on this going in the full size - light duty forum with lots of good info)

I used Mother's Back-to-Black with good results.

I second the Mother's Back to Black!

I used it last weekend and the one spot I skipped (by the license plate) looks a whole lot worse.

About the only thing I wish I would have done is to mask all the paint by the fender flares. I had just waxed the truck and got a little of the Back to Black on the paint. No biggie, but a little more time and some tape would have been warranted. The stuff isn't black. It's a milky clear liquid. Use it on the lower air dam too. It brings the gray back to life too.

It does have an odor, so I would not suggest using it on the interior, but outside, it does the job very well.

Thanks for the replies... but the white I am talking about is from me not being careful when I waxed the truck... not fade from the sun... I think I need some sort of cleaner, not a restorer....

I third Mother's Back To Black. Finally got around this weekend to use it to take off the dried wax from about a month ago on my door handles and tailgate handle. Did a great job removing the wax and making all the black trim look new again.

Negative. . .I had the exact same thing-white wax residue on the black plastic. Mother's erased it like a dry erase board.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser!

It works great for jobs like this! If it doesn't work, try some Simple Green or any all purpose cleaner diluted to about 50/50 or 60/40, use a mild bristle brush to scrub the plastic, it will look good as new!
