Hey guys,

I recently aquired Photoshop CS2. Over 4th of July weekend my girlfriend and I went to the zoo and looked around. I snapped this photo of this lion and I think its pretty good, except the glass is dirty. You can see the streaks in the center of the photo. I was wondering if there was anyway to photoshop that out and clear the photo up.

wow....thanks a lot. Its not perfect, but its A LOT better than it was. How'd you do that if you don't mind? I'm tryin' to learn that program, but its pretty tough.

I noticed its a little lighter as well. I guess that was a requirement to remove the glare?

Well, when you're doctoring a photograph you can't help but apply all the tools. After I used the scratch removal tool, about 20 times, on the scratches, I also increased the color saturation a bit and increased the contrast. I could have skipped those steps... If you want I'll re do the fix without the contrast and saturation tweaks... Let me know.

Just a note here that might come in handy down the road one day.

Make a copy of your photo and work/practice with that one, just in case you botch things up so bad and your unable to undo things to get back to the original.

You may have lost hours of work but atleast you'll still have your photo.

Or, just download "The Gimp" from gimp.org.

It got 90% of the features of Photoshop, but it's open source...So...Free. Not to mention that anybody with a bit of talent can make an extension for it...So there are thousands of extensions out there for free. Fonts, filters, macros, etc.
