Item 1

i've been to my dealer about 10 times for this one..

usually in the mornings my radio will display "NO INFO" for XM for up to 30 minutes, while on my way to work (ofcourse it starts working before i get to the dealer). they have never been able to reproduce the problem in house and it will not log any codes in the computer. sometimes it works and i can shutoff the truck, go into a store for 10 minutes, come back and it will out for some time. turning the radio on/off has no affect. i've also seen some slow response on the display when changing channels.

i have done some research on my own unplugging the XM antenna and get what i would expect (no signal). so what exactly would "no info" mean. i'm beginning to think it is a radio problem and not an XM module problem. he had it for 4 days in a row once, they supposedly reran the antenna cable and after about the 5th visit they said they found a loose wire in the C2 connector.

item 2

my drivers side mirror will not go back to my setting in the morning when i unfold them. this will happen for a few weeks, then it will work but my lumbar setting will be inflated for the next few weeks. so forth and so on. i've had the mirror replaced and the door module. he says he has a software update that could fix the problem, but the description is not quite the same.

sorry this has gotten so long, but wanted to give a complete history.

do i have a right as a customer, and with service history on these items, to demand a complete software update for the entire system? or do you have any ideas? thanks.

I'm not familiar with the "NO INFO" message and couldn't find any reference to that message in our service information. When this happens, can you switch to AM or FM and that works okay or ??

Here's some info on the mirror problem...

Outside Rearview Mirrors Do Not Return to the Correct Memory Position - keywords activated adjust DL3 DL8 DPF driver forward fob folding front key left operation power passenger right #PIT3584 - (May 17, 2005)

2003-2005 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT

2003-2005 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe

2003-2005 GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali XL

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may comment that their outside rear view mirrors do not return to the correct memory position. The concern normally occurs after the power folding mirrors have been folded in (such as parking in a garage) and the owner has the driver 1 or 2 set to recall memory with key fob or at key in.

When the mirrors are power folded in the mirror glass will center before the mirrors are folded in to prevent damage to the mirror glass. On the next key cycle or fob operation the mirrors will try to go back to the memory position while they are still folded in. In most cases the passenger mirror will go back to the correct position; however the drivers mirror glass may contacts the body of the mirror mounting base and prohibit the glass from move any further.

Note: Only vehicles equipped with RPO DL3 power folding mirrors have memory feature, all other mirror options (DL8, DPF, etc) do not have the memory feature.

Recommendation/Instructions:

There are two ways correct this:

1. Have the customer turn off the memory seat recall feature ("Recall by key fob" or at "key in") and than the mirrors will return to the correct position when power folded out.

2. If the customer wants to use the memory seat recall feature then they will have to select the appropriate Driver #1 or #2 button on the driver's door once the mirrors are power folded out. The mirrors will then return to the correct memory position.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. I found some things on "No Signal" and "XM Error" being displayed, but I'm lost on the "No Info". I can't even find a description that says what that means when it occurs. I'd want to be sure there are no DTC's anywhere, such as in the radio, but otherwise if I got this I'd have to put in a call to TAC if I got one of these. There is little XM diagnosis available.

No ideas on the lumbar support either.

yeah, they could not find any DTC's either. i'm replacing the stock unit with a TNR this weekend, so maybe i'll see some improvement. if i were to trace the XM bus connector from the XM module, where does that tie in to the system. maybe there's something loose there. i'm out of warranty now

i guess i was hoping to know which connectors on the radio to check the XM connections.

The smaller of the two. Like I said, I believe it's a 12 pin whereas the other connector is more like 24 pins.
