Transmission Upgrade Questions for 92 Yukon

hey there- i have a few quick questions on what i should do with my truck. I have a 92 Yukon 4x4 with a 5.7 engine. Its a great truck overall, but the transmission is lacking. I currently use the truck to tow boats less than 5 miles to the lake.

 

The truck is on its 3rd transmission and i would like to upgrade it to a heavier transmission because like i said i tow boats with it and also like to four wheel from time to time. Would a turbo 400 transmission be feasible in this application? would it be heavy duty enough for what i need? I dont think there would be any fitment issues, but im not really a mechanic. any help or comments are greatly appreciated. At the moment, I'm just going to drive the truck until it refuses to drive anymore and then i will replace the transmission, i just want to be prepared when it DOES happen.

a turbo 400 would be overkill unless you're towing 10k or more. it sounds like you just need a transmission built to better suit your needs. a 4L60 can easily be built to do what you need it to do from the sounds of it, that just isn't what's happening.
