Auto adjusting suspension

I'm still driving on the OEM shocks on my '02 Yukon Denali with 68k miles. My ride seems to have degraded quite a bit over the past few months, at least enough for me to notice. I'm feeling more bumps and it's not as tight in turns; overall the truck is handling a bit sloppy. How many miles are folks getting on the OE shocks? I've heard they are pretty expensive to replace since they are auto-adjusting so I was hoping to get more than 4 yrs out of them.

someone who only drives on flat smooth highway is gonna get more out then some one who drives on washboard gravel roads.

100% road driven in OH with mix city/highway. I was expecting to get around 100k before needing to swap shocks.

I agree that the shock deterioration is strongly dependent on what type of roads you drive on.

 

But some components of the auto adjust suspension (air lines, or hydraulic lines and accumulators, whatever the system uses, will wear out in time regardless of mileage or type of road you drive on.
