Well, I didn't hit anything like BBA.  :D

However, we had a whole whopping 1" of snow here in the western burbs of Chicago.  So 1" of snow equals 3" of road salt dropped by IDOT.  :D

Needless to say, my pretty Indigo Blue Metallic 2500HD is now a beautiful shade of salt white.  :(

I did make an expedient trip to Menard's though and bought 4, 70# tubes of sand to help keep the back in check.  I know these are more work oriented truck, but why they don't offer AutoTrac as an option is beyond me.

You only got 3" of salt? haha at every intersection here in my town (indiana) they drop mounds of it.  We got about 2 inches the other day and now not much is left

My truck (also blue) is white from the salt.  Saturday it is getting a bath even if it is below freezing

You should have let me know about the sand tubes i have like 10 in my garage.  I used to work at menards and i got those cheap.  My dad has 3 in his S-10 now.

What part of illinois (city) do you live in?

Tell me about it.  There are a couple of intersections up by the G/F's place that they just dumped it on the street.  And come February, they'll complain that they don't have enough to last the rest of the winter.  :(

I did the sand tubes as an impluse as I broke the rear end loose racing a Ranger.  :D   I think they were only $2.79 a tube.

I'm out near Aurora but I work in downtown Chicago.

I think i got mine at $1 something hehe nice working there.  Discounts and all but not anymore

I have family in the aurora area.  Most of them are in batavia.  You have any idea where willowbrook is?  Ever been there?  Last friday me and my gf ended up their after we went to brookfield zoo.  Ate at a dennys

I'm just north of Aurora and east of Batavia in a little burb called West Chicago.

Yup, I know the Denny's you speak of.  Was it just off of I-55 and Rt. 83?  I've got friends that live down that yonder way.

That be the one

We were on 55.  There was no sign (i swear) for 294 (indiana).  After we ate and turned around and made our way back there was an exit.  Guess going home there isnt an exit.

Oh yea if you have any run ins with the law in batavia let me know.

I used to in my younger and stupider days.  :(  I don't get over to Batavia too frequently though, although I went through Batavia last Thursday.

I'm pretty sure there is an exit off of 55 onto southbound 294 though.

Ya hey der, my neighbor to da north.  PBR me ASAP, Eh?  Anyway, I was up in Wisconsin yesterday for X-mas in Kenosha.

I think you're going a little too far north on that one.

Well, I did finish my final year of high school in Green Bay, an so hey!  :(

Anyway, I'm all for a meeting.  I'm also a member of the MFBA (Midwest F-Body Association) and we have get togethers, car shows and mod sessions all the time, although I don't make it to them all that frequently due to my schedule.

At one point, we (a friend and I) wanted to have an all Chevy (possibly GM) car/truck show at the dealership he works at.

The truck show would be great.  One of my buddies, his neighbor has a 68 superbee, 69 roadrunner, and I'm sure a few other mopars now has a mopar car show in waukesha at one of the dodge dealers.  He said I could put my truck in it if I wanted to, but I'd feel strange w/ a chevy at a dodge show.

That would be sacraficial.  :D

Anyway, when he and I were at Don McCue we were planning it, however, he and management (Tim McCue) didn't see eye to eye they came to a mutual agreement for him to leave.  :D

Anyway, he is now at Elmhurst Chevy which has a much bigger lot, has roadfront exposure to Roosevelt Rd. (Rt. 38) and has a huge selection of Vette's and Camaro's which would potentially draw sales for them.  :(  So we are working on it.
