well, i can finally make a post ...

picked my truck up almost 5 days ago ...

first time in about 8 years that i have drove a truck ... big change going from a 4 cyl econo car (dodge neon) to the 4.8 in my truck ...

was split between this one, and a *cough* dodge *cough* ... but the chevy won out ... for a few reasions ... price .. (gm emp discount is nice) ... and insurance cost .. (it ended up being 400 every 6 months cheaper then the dodge was) ...

nothing real fancy about it , 4 speed auto, 4.8l , heavy suspension, (basic WT package) ... with the truck interior .. not the lux car junk...

so far, windows have been tinted .. (hey it gets hot in louisiana) .. and have a CD player on order ... a few other things are in line, like keyless entry, and adding the DIC panel to the drivers side for more info... (then bedliner, steps maybe, and a bed cover) ...

Welcome and Nice truck.

And I am sure the empty battery tray is there for a second battery, that option is offered in the Heavy Duty trucks. My truck is almost 10 yrs older then your and it also has a tray for a second battery.
