Chrome Fender Trim Mouldings

[2007 GMC HD]

I was looking around and ran into these chrome fender trims. At first glance I like them but not sure if they would look tacky once they are on. Whats everyones take on these ?

I also wanted to mention them for other folks in case they are looking for more chrome . ..

I've seen a lot worse things on trucks. The problem with most of those chrome wheelwell moldings is they are too wide and look cheaply made. (and don't fit well) Those you show are not bad looking but I don't know that I would add them to my truck...

 

One thing I really don't get is the totally trimless look that everybody seems to be going to. I think it looks cheap. Here is South Texas we see a lot of AWA custom trucks. (AWA=anything with adhesive) They stick everything Autozone has in stock on their trucks... but that is another story altogether. Unless you live here you might not understand!

THOSE kind of trucks anoy the pee outta me. Stick on chrome door handle covers, chrome emblem surrounds, vent guards, visors, those goofy extended cab window covers with tacky cut outs in them, tail light covers with those same tacky cut outs... They must shop out of the Stylin Concepts catalog.

Yeah. If they make it for the truck, they think they should have it. Part of having a nice looking truck is knowing when to stop.

I like them a lot. I have a half length set that go as far as the body side moulding. When I got them I thought they looked cheap but they fit very well and look great.

I hate chrome fender moldings, chrome door handles... all of it.

my truck came from the dealer with those things on.

once I get a set of flares they will be getting ripped off.

they are nothing buy rust traps. i am going to have to fix all the wheel well edges before I put the flares on.

will likely put a layer of stone gaurd on before I mount the flres as well.

Dont get them, they just dont look good.

generally I don't care for extra chrome, but in some cases it looks alright. Those are small enough to work with the right truck.

they dont look very good on that truck
