Keep The Cassette?

Hi,

 

I've searched a bit but didn't find any posts specifically on this, so if I missed it, could you point me to it?

 

I have an 02 Chevy HD with the factory radio with CD and the aux cassette player in the console. I'd like to keep the cassette player so does anyone know if any aftermarket receivers have the inputs for the stock cassette? If not, does anyone know what aftermarket adapter would work?

 

I've searched thru Crutchfield but they don't mention any adapters for this.

That's a good question...You might want to try calling Crutchfield and asking.

I called Crutchfied and they said that if I change the in dash head unit, I loose the cassette. Only the factory radio can control it.

 

I really like the cassette and don't want an extra hole in the console so I guess it is off to ebay to search for a replacement factory radio.
