Nelson Tune Installed

I would first like to thank all of you on here for all of the great info helping with my decision. Especially Vmax2007. thanks Jeff. I installed my tune today and holy Sh%t. I had all TM removed and all the other nanny stuff. I am amazed at the get up the truck now has. Runs so smooth and shift just like I always wanted. I had the w4me and did the crank relearn on the ECM and TCM before so when nelson retuned them I put them in and fired her right up. No SES light or nothing. Im sure over time the tune will get even better since it is still learning the truck. I am amazed in the quality of this tune as far as the smootheness and everything. Just amazed

Glad your happy.. Allen Nelson is hands down one of the best in the business.. It may a little more expensive but its well worth it..

So the ecm and tcm are seperate units ??

yep..the ecm is the big one and the tcm is smaller and right behind the ecm

there is also a bcm but that is somewhere in the dash i believe.

Did you purchase an extra set so you can change them back before dealer visits? If so where did you get them from ?

well i have my original stock ones and had the wait4me tune...ecm and tcm ones which i just sent to nelson and had them tuned the right way..so incase i need them i have my stock ones. It is a good idea to have the stock ones if you do a tune

I want to do a tune but I also want to keep my orginal ecm and tcm for dealer visits. So I guess im going to have to try to find another ecm and tcm.

It makes me feel better having them just incase. You can buy them and even find a set cheap. Im sure some of the guys here know where to get them.

You get what you pay for. Nelson spends the extra time really digging into the tune.
