To Buy Or Not To Buy....

I'm pretty sure its not a bad deal, but what do you guys think ?

2008 Sierra Denali

$43,415 sticker

$40,336 with my Supplier code

-$2000 rebate

-$1000 Presidents Day rebate

-$500 military discount

-$2500 trade

$34,336 before TTL and DOC is pretty much their final price. From what I am reading, supplier pricing is still slightly above "invoice". Is this true ? Also with the supplier code, are advertising fees included in the sticker price already ? Are advertising fees thrown out the window with the code ? Thanks for any help or suggestions! - Mark

If you give me the last eight digits of the VIN I can pull a copy of the invoice.

PM'd ya!

Seems pretty good Mark. I'd take it.

I know! I was trying to stay in the same range I had for the Tundra Limited I had lined up. The sticker price was actually a little over $1000 more than the Denali sticker, and I was able to haggle down to several hundred under what my final price is on the Denali. To be honest, I was never intent on the Denali at all, but when I priced an SLT 6.0 with some toys, it was actually more expensive to go that route, than to deal with this unit that has been sitting on the lot. I also like the fact that it is Silver Birch w/18's, fully loaded minus Nav and DVD crap. :)

Thanks for the reply Dale! I am gonna go back tommorrow and shoot for the true invoice price rather than the "invoice" price that I was told. I also found a couple math errors which didn't add up in the final price I was given so it looks like I will have to try to restructure this whole deal.

Seems to me that there is a lot more than $ 3k something markup on Denali trucks. More like $ 4.5 k or close to $5k.

Go for it man that's one hell of a price for a Denali.

I know its a hell of a deal! I guess its a little bit of sticker shock seeing that this will be my first truck. I need to go back in the morning and have them fix a couple math errors I found and chip away a little more at the price and see if I can maybe have a couple things thrown in such as steps, cargo management system, and a rubber bedmat. Wish me luck dudes!

My original plan was to find a 6.0 CC SLT Sierra, but they seem to be near impossible even find around here. The closest truck(s) were up in New Hampshire and were actually $300 shy of the sticker price of the Denali I found 15 miles from here.

I was in the same boat. Had to get truck fast (my own fault), and couldn't find any 6.0's loaded in a huge search area, but the my local gmc dealer had 2 denali's. It's a great truck. Better than that, it's the best vehicle i've ever owned in 20+ years. it was 3K+/- more than the 6.0 i wanted (about 10%), so i bit the bullet. at roughly 35 for yours, it's a steal.

Sounds like a decent deal to me. Tell them to eat the tax and tags and put Line-x in... Thats what I did. I got them to where I wanted it, then left. He called me the next day asking if I had a change of heart. I said I would if the stealership paid the tax and tags (they don't actually pay them, they just put that price into your trade) and spray in some Line-x. They did it and I made the deal the next day. Good luck!

Thanks guys! I do feel a little bit better about the price now. I just hope to chip it away just a little more tommorrow and get a couple goodies added in. We shall see what happens ;)
