This is a direct rip of my PT.net thread so pardon any repeats

Alright as some people have figured out i am turboing my big bitch cause i think I have always wanted to and because I am crazy haha so here is the rundown of what i am gonna do at the moment, most of this is concrete but some is tentative depending on parts availability and my pocket book

Motor:

Iron Block 370 (Rex Built :))

Stock 317 Heads

Synergy Custom Cam

Stock Rockers with Harland Sharp Upgrade

9.0 Compression (Undecided)

Transmission:

4l80e (Maybe FLT Lvl 3)

Stock Converter

Rear End: (Not an Immediate Change)

14 Bolt Semi Floater (AxisT6 Built)

Tru-Trac

3.73's

Turbo kit:

KbRacing Manifold

eBay Intercooler

TIAL 44mm Wastegate

OBX BOV

Innovative Turbo T-72 .96AR

Tuning:

3Bar Wheatley Tune

Now here is the Big Question, i am thinking about how much boost i want to run 15-19 lbs on the 370 at the track, what would be the best compression ratio to go with on the motor

I will keep this updated as i go with pictures

Alright picture time

Heres what i started with for my ideal intercooler mounting area

Picture014.jpg

Picture015.jpg

So i tried dropping the I/C straight in with the inlets up and the cold side routing just wouldnt work so that was out

Picture016.jpg

Second attempt was flipping it over and putting the inlets down, this worked for routing but when i put the Grill shell on it i ran into a problem, the 3" thick core of the I/C would not allow for the bottom of the grill shell to clip in, so that was out

So the third time was indeed the charm, i removed the trans cooler from the core support and tried testing it again and sure enough the bastard fits and looks sick through the grill :)

Great pics, that's gonna be one awesome truck when it's all done! We'll expect many videos involving lots of smoking tires fairly soon. :)
