How about part # 25826499? Supposedly it crosses, but I want to be sure before I buy. It's in a wrecked avalanche.

Also, it was said that there are 2 different switches, one for alum. wheels and one for other? Which part # goes with which switch?

Any info would be great.

Thanks,

JC

Part # 25826499 comes out of 2007-2008 models; therefore, this part does not include bluetooth. I don't understand your second question.

It turns out there is only the 1 switch and it fits all 3 different styles of steering wheels according to my dealer. I ended up with a VCIM out of an 09 Denali, which matches the right part #.

Questions:

I read through all of the posts but did not see a definitive answer as to whether there is a VCIM module that would work in a 2006 2500 HD. I understand that there is a difference in the harness. I currently have a Parrot. The incoming is clear, but my wife says that I sound like I am in a tunnel. I would like to improve the outgoing sound quality. Is there a VCIM that will work for an 2006?

Can someone who has the Bluestar can they tell me if the steeering wheel controls work?

Find out if the VCIM module part number that is in your truck now is the same as a 2006 trailblazer if it is then I can't see why it would not work as I just did this swap for an 2009 trailblazer VCIM with bluetooth in my 2006 trailblazer and the only other thing I had to buy was the bluetooth antenna other than that it plugged in and started working right away.

I followed the instructions, I purchased (from a salvage yard) a VCIM out of a 09 Denali, which came with the bluetooth antenna for $115 shipped. I installed it and it worked EXACTLY as described, and perfectly, immediately. I have no red light from onstar, either.

Thanks for the info on this fantastic mod!

Yeah, I have noticed the same. I also seen that during a call, the radio and air will come back on for a brief second, then go back off, like it lost the connection to the phone. Could be my phone as well. I have a ATT 8525.
