My grandsons team picked up where they left off last year. We had a scrimmage game Thursday and we won 23-1. My boy went 2 for 3 at the plate with a walk and 2 rbi's and he also scored 2 runs. Not bad for a 9 yr old kid. He struggled at the mound though, he only struck out 2, and hit 2 batters in 1 inning. We have another scrimmage game on Monday.

Boy that's great! I miss the times when my son was playing... they grow up fast. We went to a million games and practices and enjoyed every one! Savor the moment...

I know what you mean. I wasn't much of a dad to my girls, but I'm sure making up for it with my grandkids. Especially my little ball player.

Well, we're 2-0 so far in pre-season. We won 12-5 last night. My grandson went 1 for 2 and scored a run. He is batting .600 as of now. We have another scrimmage on Friday. I heard last night that people are already talking about our team being the one to beat. Now, that makes ya' feel good.
