Which Sub?

I'm debating going with a SubThump single 10 box or building one myself, either way, I'm considering the following 4 subs. I listen to hard rock, I have a Pioneer Avic-D3 with a JL Audio 300/4 pushing Focal components up front and Focal coax's in the rear, a JL Audio 300/2 will be bridged to push the single 10. Here are the subs, feel free to suggest another you feel would be better...

JL Audio 10W1V2

JL Audio 10W3V3

I talked to a guy at a local CarToys and he swears the JL 10W1 will sound the best in my truck. I'm not sold, I guess it's the 'you get what you pay for' in me, plus, 250 watts enters the 'danger zone' according to JL.

I'm looking for a clean, true sound.

Some car audio guys I was trying to buy from tried to sell me those W1's. They just seemed like a cheap sub to me. My buddy has the 10" W3 and they sound pretty good. He has 2 of them in the JL box with a JL 500/2 amp. I myself had some Rockford P1's that were only 100 bucks for 2 and they sounded good but weren't that good. I was thinking of moving up to the P2's. If you are looking for clarity and aren't too worried about price go for the W3's. Specially if you are only using 1 sub.

JL W3's all day!! I have 2/ 10W3 V2's running off of an 600W MTX Thunder amp in my 07 NBS. I used the subthump box with the amp cutout, and it sounds amazing!! 2 10's give you the best double bass response for hard rock and metal. The only downside is that the downfire subthump box will cause you to lose a little bass since it fires into the floor panel of the truck. This is why I reccommend more bass than you would normally consider. Another plus is that the stock sound deadening material in these trucks are also pretty good so you wont get exessive rattling outside of the truck, even without Dynamat. I will post some pics of my setup later.

Well, the W3's are what I initially planned on getting, so your comments have just backed up what I was thinking. So I'm going to order the single box from SubThump and get a W3. I'd like 2 subs, but I don't want to use the entire underseat area, it comes in handy with my kids and their stuff.
