Fixed Fuel Pump Now I Have Another Issue

i fixed fuel pump pump is tight in tank ever thing re connected half a tank of gas . now i have gas odor what did i do wrong or is this normal after pump replcement ?

Did you drop the tank or lift the bed? If you took the hoses loose, I think the tank pressurizes and there must be a hose clamp or the bung on the tank isn't tight enough or it's washer is uneven.

droped tank the clamps are very tight i cant see any leaks anywere

Just an idea, as I've encountered this problem. Fill the tank with gas, then if you have a set of ramps, pull the front wheels onto it. If o-rings are not seated properly you will begin to leak fuel. My daughter had this happen to her. Had a flat bed hauler come pick it up, and when he started to pull it up, I noticed gas was leaking. Hers wouldn't start. Hope you get it figured out.
