Locking Gas Cap

I know they make a chrome cap, but I dont think they make a locking gas cap. I asked my dealer when I bought the truck and he said nope.

With gas prices now, that seems like a smart idea

I got an aftermarket at Checker. A Stant I think. It's OK. Nuthin special. Of course, now they just drill holes in your tank and drain it out.

All they have to do is push the cap down really hard while they turn it and anyone can get a locking cap off. It only takes a few more seconds than a regular cap.

If your worryed about someone stealing the gas out of your tank theres a devise in the lower fillerneck thats prevents and hose to be inserted down to lower part of the neck, its called a anti-syfining devise.

probably not a bad idea. my sister lives in arizon and had her catalytic converter stolen this week. they crawl underneath and hack it out. i guess it only happens to pickups cause of the clearance. what will those crackheads think of next?

 yep, they're drilling holes in the tanks, I saw it on the news this morning. I would like to see a spark cause one to go boom. Not that I'm a sadistic bastard, I just hate a thief. Of course now, most tanks are pretty much plastic.
