i tried searching.. but didnt find anything..

 

is there anyway to turn off DTRL on a 97 GMC sierra?? i think my truck looks cooler with just parking lights when im just driving around the city during the day.

Just pull fuse #15 (IIRC) from your dash side fuse panel.

Note: this also controls your fogs if so equipped.

so i can just pull fuse 15? yea i dont have fogs.... so thanks my friend was trying something i think he pulled Fuse 19 instead of 15

Yep,Just pull the fuse,Thats what I did on my '97-'99-'04 & my '07!

Actually, you can do it without pulling the fuse. On my 96 you could push the parking brake pedal down one click and a switch engages to turn the DRL's off. Its not enough to engage the parking brake but it does turn the DRL's off.

Shouldn't safety trump cool? Especially with a dark vehicle, DRLs reduce the chance of someone pulling out in front of you with a cell phone stuck to their ear.

Why don't you buy amber bulbs for the DRLs and it'll look like parking lights?

 

That's what I did on my 2000. Way brighter than parking lights and looks cool too.

On the GMT400s the DRLs are also the low beams, like the GMT900s. So ambers would not work..
