Anyone else having problems with rust spots?

I have lots of them on the drivers side doors and fenders.

Just small "dots" of rust. Lots of them!!!!!

I cant get them off with anything I have!

Truck only has 5300 miles for gods sake!!!!!!!

I will be going to the dealer soon to get some smoke blown up my ass!

Then probably to the nearest Ford dealer to unload the POS

worst part is I LOVE the truck. The 6.0 is sweet!

Where was your truck manufactured?

Is it possibly rail dust? I can't imagine such a new truck rusting already. I know there have been some issues with the bumpers but I've seen nothing about the actual body panels.

Just to make sure, did you try a clay bar yet on the paint. As iminaquagmire stated many people have had rail dust on the paint.

Are they like small specs? If so they are rail dust as noted above.

Any parts store should have a claybar kit from mothers. It will have the clay and a detailing spray to use as lube.

Wash the truck and dry.

Break off a small section of the clay from the bar.

Spray the lube on the paint area to be clayed and on the bar.

Rub the clay on the paint with light pressure.

Check the bar during claying and if any bits of dirt get on the bar, turn it over. Then kneed it till a clean part appears if that side gets dirty.

Keep the surface and claybar wet with the lube.

After the rail dust is gone, wipe the lube from the area with a clean soft towel.

Wax or seal the area.

You can check your hood to see if it needs clayed by placing your hand into a thin sandwitch bag and rubbing on the clean paint. If you can feel small bumps you should clay the hood too. Check all of your painted areas and clay as needed.

Wax or seal the paint when done.

its not rust. particales from the road get stuck to your paint and they rust. is your truck white? every spring my 2000 white gmc has the same thing. scrap them off and wax it up.

My truck is dark blue, and I tried to get them off and nope!

The rail dust would make sense, the little gm emplem by the max emblem even has it.

My plastic body mouldings are really rough tooo.

I will check into the clay idea!

Most people wouldnt notice or care about this but I am a little "anal" about my truck!

One way or another it will not be on there or I wont own it!

I got an 07 white sierra, I have this same problem since I got it, just clay bar my truck and wax it up. I took it to the dealer the first week I had it and they said it was rail dust but I still have the same problem. The dealer gave it a acid wash to take it off but i still found spots on the truck.

I am 99.9% sure it is metal fragments from the brakes. My white 97 yukon had it. I would use Meguirs #2 on it and it was clean about 1 week later it would start again. Never had it on the hood or in front of the front tires that is why I honestly believe it is coming off the brakes. The hot little pieces stick to the clear coat. I do agree it looks like crap. Give it a good buffing.
