Hi I currently have an 07 Sierra Classic I bought new last year. Traded in an 03 Tacoma, needed a bigger truck so I could buy a bigger boat. My first truck was a '66 C20 283 Powerglide, back in the day.I have had 3 Chevy's, 3 Fords. 2 Toyotas, and now the GMC. I've already pulled some decent info off of here, so thanks.

Always glad to have a new face here. Welcome.

Welcome to the site. :dunno: Any mods planned for the truck?

Maybe K&N filtercharger, exhaust, right now I tend not to screw with it too much because I really like it. I am thinking about some stiffer springs/shocks when I have to tow more than I do (current boat is only about 1500 lbs loaded). I have been trashing the bed because of a community project I have been working on (I am the baseball coach at a local High School and we are building a pressbox/concession stand). I found Herculiner at Auto Zone for $89 + #20 rebate, so It's a lot cheaper than 400 bones for Line-X so I went for it.

Any suggestions?

yea follow the directions when you put the herculiner on, I think youre supposed to pre clean it with some chemical. I skipped that part, and parts of it faded. Some parts of it near the tailgate didnt stick

Yeah you have to wipe it down real good with acetone and let it dry. I've had plenty of experience with that, all the cracks I have had to repair on my boat.

From what I've heard, just prep and sand the living hell out of it, and you should be fine.

Nice Sierra bro, those GMT-800 truck are really nice looking and very reliable. IMO if I was u I would go with a Line-X bed liner.
