New H3t

I am just lookin to hear what people think of the new H3T's that are coming out? I have liked what I have read so far, but I want to know what people are saying about it.

IMO I think it is a slick looking truck. I do have a problem with it though; No diesel option. If hummer is to survive it needs to offer a diesel engine.

Not my thing. If I want a truck, I get the real thing.

Agreed. Especially considering how much that thing costs and how crappy the MPG is... you probably should get a real truck if you need one.

Well a plus would be good off-road ability which seems to be a rarity these days and a 5 foot bed which is better than the joke of a bed in the H2T.

Visibility inside any Hummer is poor and the interior is still bland.

Buy for looks, off-road fun, and weekend trips to Home Depot. Buy a real truck for anything serious.

I think it has been well said. The H3T has style. It is priced a little heavy for that style. For off road fun it is worth it. No other stock factory truck will touch it off road.

I didn't know there was a Jeep truck! Wait - Nope, I searched the Jeep web site and there wasn't a Jeep truck there either. Lots of SUV's and ORV's, but no trucks.

I've only had My H3T for a couple of days now. I did a lot of shopping and looking before I finally settled on this model. I've owned a full-size Chevy K1500 EC for twenty years and I didn't feel like replacing my old dependable truck. I was looking for a 3.7L with a manual 5-speed. I had driven the 3.7L with an auto and it was okay, but I figured the 5-speed would help get the most out of the truck. And after checking around I found one. If I didn't get the 5-speed I think I would've surely gone with the 5.3L. If I need a performance fix I can drive my '98 Formula M6.

My H3T definitely drives like a truck. It rides smoother than my twenty year old Chevy and is slightly smaller which is what I was looking for. I'm still learning about all the features. Even the basic H3T which I brought home has more standard features than I'll keep up with.

I've owned my H3T for a couple of weeks now and I've put 2400 miles on the odo. I'm getting used to this truck vs. driving my 20 yo Chevy EC w/ 220K. The 3.7L with M5 seems to be doing the job. I knew it wouldn't compare to the 5.3L, but I prepared myself for that. I still have my old Chevy if I need more payload. I should mention that back in '86 I bought a Jeep Comanche with the 2.8L M5. That truck was gutless. It drove great, but going up grades on the highway with any kind of load resulted in downshifts to third gear and winding out the engine. The H3T is a heavy truck for it's size. One nice thing is that U-turns in my H3T at intersections with two lanes each way are much easier than a U-turn in my Chevy EC. The 3.7L seemed to be an oddball engine since we're so used to thinking about even engine configurations. I'm getting used to changing my thinking. I think GM designed this engine for trucks rather than dropping a car engine in a truck like they did with the 2.8L in my Jeep Comanche. I like this truck.
