Engine Squeek, Help Pinpoint

Ok, driving me crazy as my 36k truck sounds like a pile of crap right now.

 

I can't diagnose what is squeeking though.. I've changed the idler pulley.. not that

I can't tell where it is coming from. Just the front of the engine and low.

Any suggestions on what to do next?

 

It looks like the ac and the power steering are down there.. and running on their own pulley.

How can i determine if its one or the other.. Heak, its probably both.. my luck.

 

Can i spray this little belt with anti squeek?

NO, that stuff causes more harm than good. The most common things are the A/C belt and tensioner. If you spray it with something prepare yourself for spending more time and money cleaning it up.

I thought I had heard that before. I appreciate the information. I'll try that little belt to the ac unit at the bottom. Thats got to be the cheapest fix. Let ya know.

Assume you talking about the 8.1L. My 01 has squeaked since new. Put a new belt on and it goes away for a while. Replaced the top tensioner in 03. back to the dealer, new belt, no answers. Just had both belts and both tensioners replaced because squeak was getting worse. Turns out both tensioners were bad, both bels starting to go. All was quiet....for about a week, the the mouse came back.

 

Something is out of alignment in the pulley system that is causing the squeak and the belt/tensioner wear, but I'll be damned if I can find out what it is. If you find out what itr is let me know.
